The Solenis Science Lab in Bradford
The Solenis Science Lab is a free resource where children aged 9 – 11 can discover the secrets of chemistry and the importance of engineering by carrying out activities for themselves in a real laboratory, developed just for them. They can have great fun investigating science and engineering in their everyday lives and learn that chemicals and inventions are not only exciting but also useful.
Solenis offers two laboratories for schools/groups:
Investigation Laboratory. This includes a fantastic “Water for Industry” experiment. Here students will work together to look at water filtration and investigate what makes a good filter?
Exploration Workshop. This includes working as a team to consider, design and construct a bridge out of blocks. The visit also includes a virtual tour of the Solenis manufacturing site.
