Following the pre-pandemic successes of their in person STEMtastic events, Virgin Money are delighted to launch their first virtual STEMtastic. Streaming live on Microsoft Teams throughout the day on Wednesday 8th November, the event will introduce students to some of the skills required to work in a maths or technology based career within the bank.
The event is suitable for secondary school pupils and will run from 9.30am to 3pm with a teacher CPD running from 4-4.45pm on the same day.

The timetable is yet to be finalised but our current outline is:

• 9.15am – Welcome to the day
• 9:30am – Workshop 1
• 10:30am – Workshop 2
• 11:30am – Workshop 3
• 1:00pm – Workshop 4
• 2:00pm – Careers in banking and IT panel event with STEM Ambassadors
• 4:00pm – CPD session to further explore what Virgin Money do, careers in IT and banking with Q&A

Some of the topics to be covered include budgeting, design, testing and data analysis.

Workshops will last around 45 minutes and will include activities to take place in the classroom during the session. A full list of materials will be provided in advance.
