NET ZERO SUPERHEROES COMPETITION 2022

N-Z0 IS ON A QUEST TO SAVE THE PLANET. USING HIS CARBON NEUTRALISING SNEAKERS, HE’S TRANSFORMING POLLUTION IN TO CLEAN ENERGY WITH EVERY STEP, WALKING A STEADY PATH TOWARDS NET ZERO. BUT HE NEEDS YOUR HELP..

Your mission, as a team or individual (Y6 or P7), is to propose and present an idea on how you can contribute to achieving Net Zero. This could relate to energy (think about how you could reduce the amount of energy your school uses or make the energy you do use greener) or transportation (think about how you could improve the way you get to school) or infrastructure (think about how you could improve your school building).

Along with an experienced mentor from Atkins, N-Z0 will provide you with the information you need to understand the challenges of achieving Net Zero. This will help to inform your solution.

The 2022 Net Zero Superheroes Competition is now LIVE

In 2022, Engineering Net Zero are running two separate competitions to align with the differing term times in Scotland and England and Wales.

Students will work either individually or in teams of up to four to submit their innovative idea in either poster or video format. Atkins mentors will be available to run educational, interactive sessions with participants and help students to develop their submissions (depending on COVID guidelines, delivery may be virtual). The top submissions will then be shortlisted and invited to present their ideas to a panel of industry experts with exciting prizes up for grabs.

For full details of when the competitions take place and what would be involved for your school or organisation, please see the flyer opposite.
